Ricky Brown founded Next Step Staffing in 2010 in response to the widespread challenges faced by veterans and ex-offenders in securing steady, meaningful employment. During numerous conversations with individuals from these communities, Ricky identified significant barriers, including stigmas attached to their pasts, limited access to resources for skill-building, and a lack of networks to connect them with employers willing to give them a second chance.

Understanding the profound impact that employment has on dignity, self-sufficiency, and reintegration into society, Ricky launched Next Step Staffing with a mission to bridge the gap between marginalized job seekers and inclusive employers.
